Back to Bangkok!
Too cute not to include, I found this floating around Facebook. I am not sure any of my cats will let me put an apron on them but I am sure they like the idea of tasting the food!
It's been a rough week. Andrea and Sergio are staying with me at the moment. I came straight back from Sydney and headed to work the next morning without any proper rest. We have been cleaning up the studio and also sorting out any equipment we need/don't need anymore. I now have alot of stuff at home which I have just spent time clearing out as well. All of these have to be done ASAP as I don't want to clog up the house. It's almost finished now which is great. I only have 2 small piles of paper work which I have to go through. The next nightmare will be to finish all the paper work so that the accounts can be finished for 2011. I am happy if we broke even in 2011. Costs have been phenomenal while I was away due to various reasons and it's my job in 2012 to streamline and crack the whip. We need to be leaner and meaner.
I am leaving for Bangkok this morning so that I can go and pay Brownie's vet bills which are phenomenal as well. I just hope Chef A will adopt him as he is keen but I am not sure until he makes the decision and actually takes him home. I have not seen Brownie since I left but he was very sick with cat flu and his eye was a real problem. The vet says he has settled down and is recovering so I am hoping he is in a better state than when I checked him in. Cats in Bangkok have such harsh lives. I guess people in general just do over there so animals are just left to fend for themselves. I do what I can but it makes me so sad when I think about it and when I see the situation. Sometimes I look away when I see the animals on the street because I know I cannot help all of them.
I don't think I will bother contacting any of my class mates who are still in Bangkok. I just want to take a break and enjoy Bangkok as a tourist, something I have not been able to do in the past 9 months I was there. To be honest, I don't even know what there is to do there. I never visited any of the tourist areas and I never ate anywhere substantial. It will be interesting. I come back on Friday. I will take some work with me while I am there as I will have time in the evenings to do some work. I am staying with Matthew this time.
