A door closes and another one opens..

Elmo is the world's shyest cat!  He is so scared of being in anyone's company that he sleeps all day in the cupboard and only comes out at night.  Here he is on our kitchen counter top.

Dawn took a picture of Elmo and I put it on my computer screen.  As you can see, his face is just huge!

This is the original photo which I believe is just so cute!  How can you resist that face?

James lying on my bed resting.  He loves to get into different shapes!

Lately we noticed that Vicki has been stealing Oscar's house and Oscar has been in a bind.  So yesterday, he braved it and claimed it back for himself.

Loreta found a cat cage someone was throwing out because they were leaving the country.  She took it home and it's so huge we decided to build a second home for the cats so they can have their own space.  Oscar took to the larger cage immediately.  We also took the house home a while back because it was dumped outside someone's house.  Both are in excellent condition.

About a week ago, the neighbourhood Aunty told me someone dumped 2 cats outside her house.  The cats were beautiful and were obviously scared.  They kept hiding in the drains.  One eventually ran off a few streets away leaving only one hanging around.  I tried to engage it and called to it every time I saw it but it was so scared it ran off everytime.  One night last week, I was walking past and the cat saw me and just ran up to me.  It purred around my legs.  I knew something was up so I called Aunty and she came with a large cage and Loreta took her to the vet the next day.  Her blood work came back fine but she was pregnant.  An ultrasound revealed she is carrying 4 kittens.  I named her Chloe and decided to keep her on our front porch.  Maslina and Aunty donated the cages.  She is the sweetest, gentlest and most beautiful cat I have seen.

This is Chloe's huge cage so she can roam around and give birth to her kittens and nurse them.  The front is the feeding area and the kitty litter.  The back is her sleeping quarters.  We let her into the house once a day to roam around but I dont want to leave her on the street.  I want her calm and well fed so that she can have her kittens.  We are hoping to get them all adopted out and then neuter her.  I hope they all find good homes.  I simply cannot keep 10 cats in the house!  She has about 2 to 3 weeks left to the birth of the kittens.  We are on one hand very excited to see the birth of kittens as I have not seen one before but at the same time, I know it's going to be hard to find homes for them.

Please anyone, if you are interested and you are sure you will keep the cat for the rest of its life, please do contact me at lynette@palatesensations.com.  We are in Singapore.
